Terms of Service

Aurel is a private cycle tracking app for iOS, made by MonKilo Ventures LLC. It is distributed through the Apple App Store.

By downloading and using Aurel, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with either, you should not use the app — and we'd rather know why so we can improve.

These terms apply to the Aurel iOS app and the accompanying website at getaurel.app. Apple's standard App Store terms also apply to the distribution and purchase of the app; in the event of any conflict between Apple's terms and ours, Apple's terms govern matters within their jurisdiction (purchases, refunds, App Store conduct).

Aurel is designed for personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or use the app to build a competing product.

Your data belongs to you. Full stop.

• You own it. MonKilo Ventures LLC claims no ownership, license, or right to use the health data you enter into Aurel for any purpose other than operating the app on your behalf.
• You control it. You can export your complete data history at any time and delete everything with a single tap in the app.
• We don't use it. We don't analyse your health data, sell it, or share it. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy.

When you use Aurel, you are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for keeping your device and any account credentials secure. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, deletion of the app, or loss of a device not protected by cloud backup.

Aurel uses a simple, honest pricing model:

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are governed by Apple's standard refund policy. If you believe you are entitled to a refund for a reason outside Apple's standard process, contact us and we'll work with you in good faith.

Pricing may change before or after launch. If we change prices, existing purchasers are not affected for what they have already bought. Cloud sync subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

Aurel is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice.

The app will always show a confidence indicator alongside predictions, and will clearly communicate when there is insufficient data to make a reliable estimate. We believe transparency about uncertainty is a feature, not a limitation.

MonKilo Ventures LLC is not liable for any health outcomes arising from reliance on Aurel's cycle predictions or any other information presented in the app.

Aurel is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. By using the app, you represent that you meet this minimum age requirement.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn that a user under 13 has provided personal information through the waitlist or a cloud sync account, we will delete that information promptly.

Users under 18 in jurisdictions where parental consent is required for digital services should use the app with appropriate parental consent.

We will update Aurel over time — fixing bugs, improving performance, and adding new features. Here is how we handle changes:

• Core features stay in the core tier. We will not add features and then lock existing ones behind a paywall. What you paid for remains yours.
• These terms can be updated. If we make material changes to these Terms of Service, we will update the "last updated" date and notify users through the app and, where relevant, by email. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
• iOS compatibility. We will support the current and previous major iOS version. If a future iOS update requires us to drop support for older versions, we will communicate this in advance.

We reserve the right to discontinue Aurel entirely with reasonable notice. If that ever happens, we would provide at least 90 days' notice and ensure users have ample time to export their data. We do not anticipate this, but we want you to know where you stand.

If MonKilo Ventures LLC is acquired — in whole or in part, or if Aurel is sold to another company — we are committed to the following:

• 60-day notice. We will notify all users at least 60 days before any acquisition or ownership transfer takes effect, via in-app notification and email (for users who provided an email address).
• Full data export window. During those 60 days, users will be able to export their complete data. We will make this export as straightforward as possible.
• Cloud data deletion on request. Users who have cloud sync enabled can request complete deletion of their backed-up data at any point during the notice period, and this will be honoured before the transfer completes.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. For any disputes, we strongly prefer to resolve things directly — contact us first.
